Gardaí arrest man after Sligo stabbing

A 35-year-old man is in a serious condition in hospital in Sligo after he was stabbed in the town.

The incident happened at a housing estate in Cranmore yesterday afternoon.

Gardaí have arrested a 24-year-old man in connection with the incident. He is being questioned under Section Four of the Criminal Justice Act.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to the incident to come forward.
