INMO: Beaumont Hospital in 'crisis mode'
The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation has said Beaumont Hospital in Dublin is in "crisis mode".
The union said there is severe overcrowding in the A&E Department and 60 beds have been forced to close due to cutbacks.
Today, more than 38 patients are waiting on chairs and trolleys in the emergency department.
A similar scenario is reported around the country with almost 350 patients waiting on chairs and trolleys in hospitals nationwide.
