Gardaí release man in organised crime probe

A man being detained in Co. Kildare as part of an investigation in to organised crime has been released.

He is one of three people arrested following an operation in Ballymore Eustace last Sunday, during which Gardaí were forced to open fire.

Shots were discharged after a vehicle fled the scene.

Gardaí recovered guns, ammunition and cash and two men in their thirties were also arrested, questioned and released.

Files on all three are being sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
