Man arrested in connection with Wicklow gun attack

A man has been arrested in connection with a gun attack in Co Wicklow last week.

The man - from Bray and in his late 20s - was arrested on Monday and remains in Garda custody in Bray this afternoon.

The arrest follows an incident early last Friday morning during which another man was shot in the stomach in the Kilgarron Park area of Enniskerry.

The victim was taken to Saint Vincent's Hospital in Dublin. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

The man being questioned by gardaí can be held for up to 72 hours.
