Kildare gardaí continue to question man in organised-crime probe
Gardaí in Kildare are continuing to question a man as part of an investigation into organised crime.
He was arrested in Ballymore Eustace after members of the Garda organised crime unit intercepted two cars in a planned operation.
Gardaí fired a number of shots after one of the cars failed to stop and fled the scene.
A firearm and a quantity of cash was seized during the operation.
The man who was arrested is being held in Naas garda station under section thirty of the Offences Against the State Act.
