Eddie Rocket's to create 30 jobs

Eddie Rocket's is to create 30 new jobs in Naas, Co Kildare, with the opening of a new restaurant.

It brings the total workforce at the fast food diner's 41 outlets in Ireland to 1,000.

Management say they have created 70 new jobs so far this year.

However, one of the company's branches, in Stillorgan, Co Dublin, was put into examinership last Thursday.

That restaurant, which employs 30 people, is trading as normal, however.

“At a time when every new job counts we are delighted to be playing our part along with our franchisees, Matt and Fionnuala Kelly, in creating 30 jobs with the opening of our new diner in Naas”, said Mr Niall Fortune, chairman, Rocket Restaurants.

“With the opening of Naas, Eddie Rocket’s has created 70 new jobs so far this year.”
