'Twinfest' comes to Sligo

More than 100 pairs of twins, several triplets and at least one set of quads will gather in Co Sligo today for the country's second annual "twinfest".

Guests of honour will be Hassan and Hussain Benhaffaf, the former conjoined twins from Cork, and their family.

The participants range in age from seven-month old twin girls to twin brothers Gerard and Alfie Mulligan, aged 90.

The festival in Keash, Ballymote is expected to raise thousands for the Meningitis Trust.
