Man found on Cork street with head injuries

Gardaí in Cork are appealing for witnesses after a man was found with head injuries near a bar in the city.

The 36-year-old man was taken to Cork University Hospital for treatment after he was found lying on the footpath on Watercourse Road, near the Rebel Bar, shortly after 9pm.

Gardaí cannot confirm whether the man fell and hit his head, or was the victim of an assault.
