HSE investigate suspected leak of confidential patient information

The HSE is working with both Tallaght Hospital and the Data Protection Commissioner after it emerged there could be a breach of confidential patient information at the facility.

The hospital had hired a company to process patient files, however that firm sent the data to the Philippines to be transcribed.
