Most who contact youth support service suffer from psychological distress
A new study has found that three quarters of young people who have accessed ReachOut.com, an online support service for young people in Ireland, suffer from mild to severe levels of psychological distress.
The report also found that the majority of them would not want people to know they have a mental health problem.
Of those who had spoken to a health professional in the past, 41% would be unlikely to do so again in the future.
ReachOut.com is an online support service for young people in Ireland.
The survey is being launched this morning by the Minister for Mental Health Kathleen Lynch.
