Kenny to make Galway jobs announcement

Taoiseach Enda Kenny is due to visit Galway today to make what is expected to be a significant jobs announcement.

Mr Kenny is due to visit C&F Green Energy in Cashla, Athenry this morning.

The company manufactures micro-turbines mainly for export to the UK market.

No information was available this morning as to the number of jobs expected to be revealed, but it is understood the positions will be based in the Galway town.
