Five arrested in welfare fraud raids

Five people have been arrested as part of an investigation into fraudulent social welfare claims.

Gardaí from the Bureau of Fraud Investigation and Inspectors from the Department of Social Protection searched a number of houses in north and west Dublin this morning.

They seized a large quantity of documents and arrested three men and two women.

They are being detained at various Dublin garda stations under Section Four of the Criminal Justice Act
