Two youths have been arrested in connection with serious public disorder in east Belfast last month.

Two youths have been arrested in connection with serious public disorder in east Belfast last month.

They were charged with riotous behaviour. One appears before Belfast Youth Court today and the other next month.

Violence broke out on June 20 and 21 with three people shot and petrol bombs and other missiles hurled at police at a sectarian interface on the Lower Newtownards Road.

A man and two juveniles have already appeared in court charged with riotous behaviour.
