High Court to make JLC ruling today

The High Court will are to rule on a case that challenges the constitutionality of the system of joint labour committees today.

The committees set legally-enforceable pay rates in certain industries, including the hospitality sector.

The case was taken by fast food operators, including John Grace Fried Chicken, against the Catering Joint Labour Committee.
