Two questioned in connection with cannabis find

A man and a woman were being questioned tonight in connection with the seizure of €100,000 worth of drugs.

Cannabis resin and herb were discovered in a forest near Avoca, Co Wicklow late this afternoon.

The planned search was carried out after surveillance during the continuing operation targeting the sale and supply of controlled drugs in the Wicklow Division.

A 36-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman were arrested.

They are being detained at Arklow garda station under section 4 of The Criminal Justice Act.
