100 new healthcare-company jobs for Galway

Global healthcare company Alere is to set up its international business service centre in the IDA park in Galway, creating 100 new jobs.

The centre will be located in Parkmore East.

The jobs will be rolled out over the next four years in areas such as customer support, finance and legal.

The news follows an earlier announcement by satellite broadband provider Onwave that it intends to create 30 new jobs in Galway and Mullingar.
