Dublin: Man due in court after Ballymount Park assault

A man in his 20s is due in court this morning, charged in connection with a serious assault in Dublin last month.

A 27-year-old woman was seriously injured after she was attacked while out jogging in Ballymount Park near Tallaght at around midday on May 30.

The man tried to drag her into an area away from public view but the woman managed to break free and raised the alarm.

As part of the investigation, gardaí have arrested a man in his 20s and he is due to appear before Blanchardstown District Court later.
