Labour Councillor Andrew Montague was elected Lord Mayor of Dublin at the annual meeting of Dublin City Council last night.

Councillor Montague, who represents the Artane-Whitehall Ward in North Dublin, previously served as the capital's deputy lord mayor in 2004.
