Government scheme to train 30,000 people in online skills

The Government is making €1.6m available to boost internet skills among the unemployed, elderly and those with disabilities.

Communications Minister Pat Rabbitte said the scheme will allow those least likely to use the web on their own to be trained in simple online transactions and email.
