Govt accused of 'dragging heels' on Children's rights referendum
It is hoped a Bill being brought forward on the Referendum for Children's Rights will kick-start much needed action for children who are in need of adoption here.
Fianna Fáil wants the Referendum to proceed immediately, if only to amend adoption rights.
Charlie McConalogue, Spokesperson for Children has said the Government are dragging their heels on the issue, prioritising a Referendum of Judges' pay over children.
