A new study by the Irish Society for Quality and Safety in Healthcare shows one in ten people surveyed felt staff ignored them when discussing medical issues.

A new study by the Irish Society for Quality and Safety in Healthcare shows one in ten people surveyed felt staff ignored them when discussing medical issues.

However, most patients - 62% - were not aware of a complaints procedure in the hospital.

Doctor Hillary Dunne said being treated with dignity and respect is people's key concern and 95% of those interviewed were satisfied in this area.
