Jury sent home in Wicklow murder trial
The jury in the trial of a Wicklow man accused of shooting dead a father of two in front of his partner and son, has been sent home for the weekend having failed to reach a verdict.
Garrett O'Brien of Clover Hill, Bray denies murdering Seamus O'Byrne in the driveway of his home in Tymon Park North, Tallaght on March 13, 2009.
The 27-year-old was shot five times by a hooded gunman.
The jury will resume its deliberations on Monday having spent two hours this afternoon trying to reach a verdict.
