A 15-year-old boy is due to appear before court in the North today, charged with two counts of rape, and one of the sexual assault of an elderly woman.

A 15-year-old boy is due to appear before court in the North today, charged with two counts of rape, and one of the sexual assault.

It is believed the charges are in connection with the serious sexual assault of an elderly woman in the Greenhills St. area of Newtownards on Sunday March 13 last.

The teenager will appear before Newtownards Magistrate's Court this morning.
