Donabate shooting victim on life support
The victim of yesterday's gun attack in north county Dublin is fighting for his life in hospital this morning.
Michael Taylor, 53, was shot several times at Hand Caravan Park in Donabate in broad daylight yesterday afternoon.
He was shot at least twice in the head and is on life support in Beaumont Hospital.
The gunmen, who wore black and grey hoodies, drove to Turvey Woods and set their blue Opel on fire before escaping in a 07 Dublin registered black Honda hatchback.
No arrests have been made at this stage.
Gardaí in Swords are appealing for anyone with information on the two cars or on the two gunmen to contact them on 01-6664700.
Gardaí are said to be working on the theory that this incident relates back to a grenade attack on a house near Summerhill in Dublin's north inner city in 2007. There were six people in the house at the time. No one was injured, but the house was extensively damaged.
