Howlin: No decision yet on overtime rates

The Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform Brendan Howlin says the Government has not reached any firm decisions on changes to Sunday pay and overtime rates for thousands of workers.

It follows the publication of a report last night by Jobs Minister Richard Bruton which suggests changes to special premium payments for Sunday working.

The Minster's proposals go further than a report by the Labour Court Chairman Kevin Duffy and Frank Walsh of UCD - which was released earlier this week.

Taking questions in the Dáil this morning, Minister Howlin said the matter is still under discussion.
