Cork gardaí make fresh appeal after St Patrick's Day attack
Gardaí in Cork are making a fresh appeal for help in finding the man behind a vicious attack on a woman in the city on St Patrick's Day.
The victim was walking home when she was grabbed from behind and dragged down basement steps on Watercourse Road.
She sustained injuries to her nose, eyes, cheeks and chin.
The man is described as being in his 30s, with fair hair, of thin build and spoke with a strong Cork accent.
Speaking to Cork's RedFM, Superintendent Tom Myres said gardaí were anxious to catch the culprit, and appealed for the public's help.
