Norris: Seanad 'confronted with the possibility of extinction'

Senators are fighting for the survival of the second house on the first day of the twenty-fourth Seanad.

The Taoiseach Enda Kenny earlier told the Dáil that the Government intended to hold a referendum on the abolition of the Seanad next year.
