Gardaí thank public as Dublin traffic disrupted again

The Gardaí have thanked the public for their support around the country during the visit of Queen Elizabeth.

The force has issued a statement, singling out cooperation in Dublin City, Kildare, Tipperary and Cork. They say their tasks would not have been possible without the assistance of the community.

This afternoon and evening will see further traffic restrictions in Dublin as the Queen attends a gala at the Dublin Convention Centre.

North Wall Quay and Guild Street are already closed, with restrictions due at 5pm for The Phoenix Park, Parkgate Street and the north and south quays.
