Defence Forces declare Inchicore device a hoax

The Army Bomb Disposal Team has made safe a viable Improvised Explosive Device found in Co Kildare overnight.

The device was found in the luggage compartment of a bus parked outside the Glen Royal Hotel in Maynooth.

A defense forces team carried out a controlled explosion shortly before 2am .

Meanwhile, a suspect device discovered on the Luas line in Inchicore in Dublin has been declared a hoax.

The Tyrconnell Road has now reopened.
