Stokes father remanded on bail

John Stokes, the father of Celtic player Anthony Stokes was remanded on bail today, after he was charged with threatening a business rival - ordering him to cease trading within 24 hours.

The 54-year-old, who owns the Players Lounge in Fairview in North Dublin, is came to public attention earlier this year when he was forced to remove a 40-foot banner barring the Queen of England from his pub.
