Suspended sentence for man who harassed ex-partner and boyfriend

A man who harassed his ex-partner and her boyfriend because he was unwilling to accept the end of their relationship has received a four-year suspended sentence at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court today.

Emmett Kavanagh tormented Jackie Delaney with text messages and phone calls and posted two bullet cartridges to her with her new partner's name on the envelope.

The 32-year-old of Elm Mount Avenue in Beaumont, pleaded guilty to harassing Ms Delaney and Mr Darren Cullen at various locations by persistently pestering them on dates between February 14, 2007 and May 14, 2007.
