Kenny: 'Modest' jobs initiative a 'step in the right direction'

Enda Kenny has admitted the Government's jobs initiative is "modest" in scale, but insisted it was a "step in the right direction".

He said: "What's happening here is a direct injection of confidence into this economy so that people can have the dignity of actually being able to go to a job and the satisfaction of getting paid for a day's work."
