Two due in court in connection with arson attack on speed camera van

Two men are due to appear in court later this morning charged in connection with an arson attack on a speed camera van in Co Wicklow.

The van was parked on the Gorey Road on the old N11 outside Arklow when it was set on fire on March 13.

The operator of the van escaped uninjured, after he detected smoke and jumped out of the vehicle.

The speed camera van was completely destroyed in the blaze.

Two men have been charged in connection with the incident and are due to appear at a sitting of New Ross District Court at 10.30am.
