Counting gets underway in NI local elections
Counting in the local council elections in the North gets underway today.
It follows the filling of all 108 Assembly seats over the weekend in which the DUP and Sinn Féin were the big winners.
Sinn Féin's Martin McGuinness said his party has worked very hard, and he hopes that will be reflected in the council results as well.
He does not believe that the dissident republican candidates for Eirigi pose a significant threat at the ballot box.
