Man charged in connection with dissident republican activity

A 28-year-old man has been charged in connection with dissident republican activity in the North.

He is due to appear before Belfast Magistrates Court this morning, accused of possession of articles likely to be of use to terrorists and preparing for an act of terrorism.

The man was arrested after he was stopped and searched by police in the Antrim Road area of north Belfast on Thursday night.
