A 23-year-old Irish woman who drowned while scuba diving in Australia has been named as Elaine Morrow, from Ballintra in Co Donegal.
She was on a three-day introductory diving course on the picturesque Whitsunday Islands when she got separated from the group on Monday.
It is understood Elaine had been in Australia for almost a year on a tourist visa.
The Department of Foreign Affairs is providing consular assistance to the young woman's family.
