Government to meet banking unions next week

The Finance Minister and the Tanaiste are to meet with banking unions next week to discuss the future of the industry.

The Finance Minister and the Tánaiste are to meet with banking unions next week to discuss the future of the industry.

The Irish Bank Officials Association said today that the subject of 2,000 redundancies at AIB will be on the table.

The Irish Times reported that the union is also seeking clarity over the future of staff in Irish Life and Permanent.
