Woman's body recovered from Ennis river
The body of a woman has been recovered from a river in Ennis, Co Clare.
The body is believed to be that a missing 48-year-old for whom a massive search was launched on Tuesday, coordinated by the Gardaí and Local Civil Defence.
Irish Rail staff, working a railway bridge, spotted the body in the water at around 10am.
The remains were recovered by the Killaloe/Ballina Search and Recovery unit.
The body has been removed to the Mid Western Regional Hospital in Limerick where a postmortem will take place this afternoon.
Gardaí do not suspect foul play.
