O'Cuiv accuses FG over awarding of FAS contract
The Government and the Opposition have clashed over legislation to regulate political lobbying.
It comes after newspaper revelations that a public relations firm with links to the Taoiseach Enda Kenny won a contract to provide services to the State agency FAS.
Even though the contract was awarded before Fine Gael came to power, Fianna Fáil's communications spokesperson Eamon O'Cuiv referred to it in the Dáil as a "controversy".
He called on the Government to bring forward speedy legislation to regulate political lobbyists.
But the Tánaiste Eamon Gilmore is accusing Fianna Fáil of saying one thing in Opposition, but another when they were in government.
