A teenager who used a stun gun on two security guards to act "the big man" has been given a final chance to avoid prison.

Eightenn-year-old Ross Kenny, of St. Anthony's Road in Rialto, pleaded guilty at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to using a firearm without a certificate at St James Walk Rialto on February 24, 2009.

The teenager was given a three-year term, suspended in full and ordered to undergo one year's probation services.

Judge Tony Hunt warned Kenny that he was "skating on very thin ice" and that if he did not comply with the probation service, he would serve the full three years.
