Kenny agrees to Dáil debate on banking job losses
Taoiseach Enda Kenny said today that he had no objections to holding a debate in the Dáil on the proposed job losses in AIB.
“There are devastating consequences and clearly there are also issues of governance in the banks that need to be addressed and will be addressed,” he said.
“Obviously this is a matter of the most serious concern to the 2,000 workers, the vast majority of whom had neither, hand, act nor part, or be involved in any way in the crisis inflicted upon the entire country.
“Obviously this is a matter where the most fulsome consultation should be had with those workers by the persons involved.”
