Noonan discusses taxes with French Finance Minister

The French Finance Minister has said she had a "good discussion" with the Finance Minister Michael Noonan last night.

Christine Lagarde said the talks centred on tax and both sides were willing to discuss the issue further.

EU Finance Ministers are in Budapest for a second day of talks, which have so far been dominated by the Portugese bailout, meaning the renegotiation of Ireland's bailout terms has slipped down the agenda.
