Gardaí discover firearms in Kerry primary school

Two firearms have been found at a primary school in Co Kerry.

Gardaí were carrying out a follow-up operation to a search of a house in Tralee last Tuesday, during which a sawn-off shotgun was recovered and a man was arrested.

The man is still being held at Tralee Garda Station this morning.

The search of grounds at Scoil Mhic Easminn in Rathoonane took place yesterday evening, with Gardaí recovering two firearms, believed to have been stolen.

No arrests have been made in connection with the find.
