Noonan: Confidence returning to Irish banking

Finance Minister Michael Noonan has said there is evidence that confidence is returning in the Irish Financial system.

Mr Noonan told the Dáil that the net deposit position of the two new pillar banks, AIB and Bank of Ireland, has improved considerably since the Government's recapitalisation announcement last Thursday.
