Car blast outside Omagh policeman's home

A police officer is understood to have been caught up in a booby trap car bomb in the North.

The device exploded under the vehicle outside his home in Highfield Close, off the Gortin Road, in Omagh, Co Tyrone, just before 4pm.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland was unable to immediately confirm if there were any casualties.
