Garda Technical Bureau assist in search for Clare woman

The Garda Technical Bureau are assisting in the investigation into the disappearance of a 43-year-old Clare woman.

Gardaí, the rescue services and more than 50 local volunteers are in their third day of searching for Deirdre McCarthy and technical examinations are now being carried out at her home in Ballyvaughan.

There has been no trace of Ms McCarthy since Sunday night.

Anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area between the hours of 9pm on Sunday night and 9am on Monday morning is asked to contact Ennistymon garda station.
