Community marks 10 years of Ballymun drugs project

A community festival to mark the 30th anniversary of Ireland's oldest drugs project will take place today at the Plaza in Ballymun in Dublin.

The festival, featuring music, dance and stand up comedy, is the culmination of a month-long series of events, organised for the anniversary of Ballymun Youth Action Project.

A special performance by Christy Dignam and Joe Jewell of Aslan will start the event at 12 noon and will be followed by a procession through the venue by local 10-piece samba band, Munch.
