Wicklow gardaí investigate serious assault

Gardaí in Wicklow are investigating the serious assault of a 31-year old man which occurred in Ashford last night.

The attack happened at Woodview at around 8.45pm yesterday evening.

The man received a serious head injury in the assault and is said to be in a stable condition in St Vincent's Hospital.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may have any information is asked to come forward.
