Gormley confirms resignation as Green Party leader

John Gormley has confirmed that he is to quit as leader of the Green Party.

In an email sent to Green Party colleagues, the former Minister for the Environment said he would not be seeking re-election and that the party needs new leadership and to reinvent itself.
