Five injured in Clare stabbing incident

Gardaí in Clare are investigating a stabbing incident in which five men were injured in the early hours of this morning.

Four of the men are being treated in hospital following the altercation which took place in a house off Burton Street in Kilrush at around 1.30am.

Four of the men were rushed to the Mid-Western Regional Hospital in Limerick with various stab wounds and other injuries including a broken arm in the case of one man.

Gardaí say the assailants and victims are known to each other, their injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
